The one billion people in the year 1800 did have one advantage over us; they were living in an ecologically sustainable balance with nature.

Their communities could have continued living the way they were for thousands of years without destroying the world’s natural habitat. But the current 6.7 billion people are currently destroying the environment by their shear numbers and by the way they are consuming natures single-use resources.

It is clear that humanity can not live at the current population levels with our current life styles forever without destroying the sources of those life giving materials.

The earth currently produces 2,264 million metric tons of cereals, which is the staple food of the world. If each person consumes 2,000 calories per day, 2,264 million metric tons of cereal will support a little bit over 10 billion people.

The Earth can no longer support the number of people who live in it,

There are 1.2billion people too many and, if populations continue to grow at present rates, it could cause wars and starvation, In Britain, the 60 million-plus population would have to be cut by two-thirds to be ecologically sustainable

'We have decided to revise our policy of blocking IPs as a spam prevention measure.

'As well as frequently resulting in valid users of our platform being inadvertently blocked, we have also observed that it does not result in a significant downturn in the amount of spam. This is because it is a very simple matter for the spammer to simply access our domain from a different IP.

'For these reasons, we will no longer block IPs unless they are being used for very heavy spamming.

'While we work on an alternative solution to the issue, we recommend that you activate comment moderation so that the spam comments do not arrive on your blog.'

So basically it's now a free-for-all... personally am off to find some lead and work on a few hexes.....;)
